The trauma counseling center provides trauma counseling training to peer survivors as well as counselors, to assist with this daily challenge. There are now 120 survivors who are participating in the training program that is taught by a Davies and a US team of mental health professionals that return at regular intervals throughout the year. In addition, the program also offers individual counseling to survivors.
Capac is a village of about 2,000 residents in western St. Clair County. In the past 20 years, Capac has grown from a small farming community to a thriving business and residential area. The district's buses transport more than 1,400 students from their homes to school every day. The school system is the hub of many activities in this peaceful community. After attending thousands of meetings during his career in which urgent needs were discussed but no action was taken to solve them, President Clinton saw a need to establish a new kind of meeting with an emphasis on results.
